Job Title: Waking Night Team Leader

Caridon Young Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waking Night Team Leader to join our team at our residential children's home in Sutton.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to lead our night shift team and ensure the effective running of the residential home during this time. As a Waking Night Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of night staff, undertaking direct work with children, and promoting the welfare and development of the young people in our care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures and meeting all OFSTED regulations.
  • Manage the home during the night and direct a team of night staff.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare and development of the children in the home.
  • Ensure that the young people's needs are recognized and met, ensuring they are free from discrimination within the home and challenging discrimination from outside the home.
  • Provide an environment that is safe and sensitive to the needs of the children being looked after.
  • Support children in stressful situations or crises.
  • Effectively manage and report incidents during the night for handover to day staff, including writing incident reports and updating support and behaviour plans.
  • Manage and report missing episodes effectively.
  • Ensure all staff under supervision complete training in accordance with their induction training schedule and Personal Development Plan.
  • Conduct supervisions.
  • Be aware of Health and Safety regulations related to the upkeep of the building and surroundings.

Requirements:

  • Hold the Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification, or be working towards it, or hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care Children and Young People's Services.
  • Previous management experience.
