We are seeking a highly skilled Data Policy Specialist to join our team at Moody's Investors Service. As a Data Policy Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, documenting, and improving databases that are made available online to subscribers, as well as responding to and assisting clients with their data-related requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, enhance, and validate data, cross-examining information with public records and other credible sources, ensuring timely and accurate availability to subscribers.
  • Integrate new datasets or merge existing ones into Moody's platform, ensuring smooth integration without compromising data quality.
  • Implement control methods to improve data quality, prioritizing accuracy and consistency.
  • Respond to client inquiries indirectly, providing timely and comprehensive solutions.
  • Improve existing processes and procedures to enhance the speed and accuracy of our updates.
  • Provide top-quality documentation, such as internal procedures and any information regarding the collection methods, definitions, and frequently asked questions.
  • Stay informed about the latest in data collection and verification technologies, exploring new data sources, and refining data verification and integration processes for enhanced efficiency.
  • Assist and support internal and external clients in accessing our data.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree with coursework in economics, finance, statistics, or related fields preferred.
  • European language speaker would be preferred, especially German, Italian, Spanish, or French.
  • 2+ years of work experience in this sector or other related fields.
  • Proficiency in English is required, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to shifting priorities, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Programming skills are beneficial (Power BI, Excel proficiency, Salesforce).
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take the initiative when necessary.
  • The ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
