Job Title: Active Journey Coordinator
About the RoleThe Safer Active Journeys team at Kent County Council aims to reduce child pedestrian casualties by delivering pedestrian training to primary schools in Kent.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily activities for the Small Steps project and other related initiatives in your local district.
- Liaise with selected schools to schedule and deliver pedestrian training schemes, collaborating with parent volunteers and Project Officers.
- Assess potential training sites within walking distance of schools, documenting findings accurately.
- Lead engaging and effective Pedestrian Training sessions for groups of children, leveraging parent volunteers when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of training delivered, ensuring high-quality data.
- Participate in promotional events for the Small Steps project, as required.
To excel in this role, you should have prior experience working with children in an educational context and be able to work on a zero-hours contract, consulting with the Project Officer and schools regarding your availability.
