Active Journey Development Officer

About Us
Kent County Council's Safer Active Journeys team is responsible for delivering pedestrian training to primary schools in Kent, reducing child pedestrian casualties and promoting healthy walking habits.
Your Role- You will coordinate and manage day-to-day activities of Small Steps and related programs in your local district.
- You will liaise with selected schools to schedule and deliver pedestrian training schemes, working closely with parent volunteers and Project Officers.
- You will conduct thorough risk assessments for suitable training sites within walking distance of schools, accurately recording findings.
- You will deliver engaging and effective Pedestrian Training sessions to groups of children, utilizing parent volunteers as necessary.
- You will maintain precise records of training delivered, ensuring data accuracy.
- You will participate in promotional events for the Small Steps project as required.
