We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team at Aspris Childrens Services Limited. This is an excellent opportunity for you to work with young people who have autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behavior.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be based at Oliver House School, working across two specialist ASD schools and providing support to our residential provisions in Chorley and Preston area. Your role will involve performing assessments to establish the needs of our young people, monitoring progress, carrying out observations, providing sensory recommendations, and conducting direct therapeutic work to train our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform comprehensive assessments to identify individualized therapy plans
  2. Develop and implement sensory-based interventions to promote physical and emotional well-being
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care and support
  4. Provide training and guidance to staff members on therapeutic techniques and strategies
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with autism and severe learning disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to engage effectively with young people and demonstrate a clear understanding of their needs
  • Possess a caring attitude and a desire to improve outcomes for our young people
