Work Experience Advisor and Assessor

Awarding Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 per annum (equivalent to £11.15-£12.62 per hour)

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Work Experience Advisor and Assessor in Early Years. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing high-quality work placements and related activities for students on Early Years Study Programmes.

The role involves liaising with curriculum staff to meet work placement requirements, identifying and securing work placements and work experience opportunities from new, lapsed, and existing employers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent networking and relationship management skills, with the ability to generate new work placement and work experience opportunities through various activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with curriculum staff to ensure effective work placement management
  • Secure high-quality work placements and work experience opportunities
  • Maintain relationships with employers to maximise future opportunities
  • Complete Health and Safety checks with employers as required by the College's WEX Policy
  • Support students in identifying their career aspirations and matching them to suitable placements
  • Promote the use of our online placement and skills portal, Navigate
  • Monitor student attendance, behaviour, and performance while on placement

Requirements:

  • Experience in sourcing and managing work placements within the Early Years sector
  • Strong networking and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software packages, particularly Excel, for data management and report generation
