Role Overview

The Care Experienced Inclusive Learning Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of care-experienced students at West Lancashire College. This position requires a dedicated and passionate individual with experience in education, youth work, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and provide targeted support to care-experienced students to enhance retention rates, improve attendance, and boost academic achievement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners to ensure a comprehensive support network.
  • Collaborate with the Safeguarding and Wellbeing team to provide a holistic approach to student support.
  • Assess and address the unique challenges faced by care-experienced students, providing tailored support and guidance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve student outcomes and success.

Requirements

  • Experience in education, youth work, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by care-experienced students.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student success and well-being.
