About the Role:
As an Autism Support Specialist, you will work closely with individuals who require assistance with daily living activities, social interactions, and personal development. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence, self-advocacy, and overall well-being.
You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide 24-hour support, including evenings and weekends, to ensure that our residents receive consistent and high-quality care. This role requires flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for working with autistic individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
- Developing and implementing personalized support plans to promote independence and self-advocacy
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues, family members, and other stakeholders
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
