The Caerphilly Early Years and Childcare Service is seeking an experienced Family Support Specialist to deliver family support interventions in the home, community, and virtually. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on families with children aged 0-7 years.

Job Overview

This exciting position is part of a wider Early Years and Childcare Team, working closely with families to tackle the root causes of issues and promote resilience. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering bespoke family support interventions, antenatal, postnatal, and parenting programs in a supportive and non-judgmental manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide support to families from antenatal onwards, focusing on their individual needs and priorities.
  • To develop and implement effective family support plans, working collaboratively with families, other professionals, and partners.
  • To deliver high-quality, evidence-based family support interventions, including accredited parenting programs, in a group or one-to-one setting.
Requirements
  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant field, such as childcare, education, or social work.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of family support and child development principles, with experience of working with children aged 0-7 years and their parents.
  • Experience of delivering accredited parenting programs with fidelity, ensuring excellent outcomes for families.
  • A full UK Category B driving license and use of a motor vehicle for business purposes, covering travel within the borough to attend meetings and visit families at their homes.
