Job Title: Removals Porter/Driver

As a Removals Porter/Driver, you'll play a vital role in our team, ensuring the safe and efficient relocation of laboratory and IT equipment, furniture, and other items to new premises or storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve 'Move' orders from operations and follow instructions.
  • Complete all removing, relocations, and installations for furniture moves, IT relocations, Lab equipment, or fine art.
  • Follow delivery plans from JLL Ops Manager, Assistant Ops Manager, and Supervisors.
  • Maintain warehouse facilities, ensuring they're tidy and organized.
  • Fill recycling skips (wood/metal and general).
  • Report all completed jobs to the management team as soon as they're finished.
  • Taking goods into and out of storage.
  • Large specialist projects such as moving hospital, library, or school equipment.
  • Complete all JLL training as necessary.
  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and record all BAU vehicle mileage.
  • Follow site rules and regulations.
  • Safely packaging items before removal or storage.
  • Wrap & protect furniture or delicate items into special wrappings and packing cases for shipping/transport.
  • Taking apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal.
  • Removing doors, door frames, or windows to get large pieces of furniture in or out of a building.
  • Packing items, loading them into your vehicle, and securing them safely.
  • Checking that all goods are secure before driving off.
  • Driving to the new location, unloading the items, reassembling large items, and placing them where the customer wants them.
  • Unwrapping furniture and unpacking cartons.
  • Packing Cold Chain Materials.
Requirements:
  • Moves between longer distances could involve overnight stays.
  • Driving Licence holders preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience preferred of removal or similar role.
