Job Role
This position is offered on a zero-hours contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve move orders from operations and adhere to provided instructions.
- Execute all removals, relocations, and installations for furniture, IT equipment, and laboratory apparatus.
- Follow delivery plans as directed by the JLL Operations Manager, Delivery Manager, and Supervisor.
- Maintain the furniture warehouse, ensuring it remains organized and tidy.
- Manage recycling efforts for wood, metal, and general waste.
- Report completed tasks to the delivery manager promptly.
- Handle goods entering or exiting storage.
- Participate in large-scale projects, such as relocating hospital libraries or school equipment.
- Assist in the movement of specialized fine art and furniture.
- Complete all necessary JLL training.
- Keep accreditations current.
- Monitor and log all vehicle mileage for business-as-usual operations.
- Provide project helpline support on day one.
- Assist with charitable donations.
- Adhere to site rules and regulations.
- Safely package items prior to removal or storage.
- Wrap and protect furniture using specialized materials for shipping.
- Disassemble larger furniture items for packing and removal.
- Remove doors, door frames, or windows to facilitate the movement of large furniture pieces.
- Pack items, load them into vehicles, and secure them appropriately.
- Drive to new locations, unload items, reassemble large items, and position them as requested by the customer.
- Unwrap furniture and unpack cartons.
- Handle packing of cold chain materials.
Requirements
Working hours are flexible, with assignments occurring as needed. Longer distance moves may require overnight stays in accommodations or vehicles.
Driving license holders are preferred.
Experience in removal or a similar role is advantageous.
Benefits
Compensation is provided per day, depending on driving license and experience.
