About the Team

The Compliance team at TikTok Shop is responsible for developing and owning product solutions for compliance domains within the platform, including privacy, personalization, content safety, and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive compliance strategy and roadmap for TikTok Shop, working closely with cross-functional teams to establish compliance solutions.
  • Support the management team in understanding risk levels, prioritization, and making decisions on actionable mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with business development, product design, engineering, and go-to-market teams to lead compliance-related project management throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Design and maintain compliance product solutions, identifying and optimizing control gaps in existing product capabilities.
  • Exercise independent judgment and provide risk-based solutions to business teams, working cross-functionally with stakeholders from business teams, data security teams, and global legal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with e-commerce regulations and governance, training business departments on key compliance issues and promoting e-commerce eco-development.
Requirements:
  • Understanding and experience in compliance, public policy, law, and regulation is a plus.
  • Able to make risk-based decisions and drive alignment among diverse/multinational teams.
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills, particularly in a cross-functional and global role.
  • Self-motivated, deep-dive, leadership, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong logical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, patient, and meticulous, with a strong sense of ownership and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years of product development and related experience, with a focus on privacy and/or compliance-related product experience.
