About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at SGS Care Ltd. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of children aged 7 to 17 in a new home designed for Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Develop secure, caring relationships with children, understanding their individual needs and preferences.
  • Implement admission protocols and care plans, working closely with colleagues and external professionals to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Fulfill health, education, and training needs of children, promoting their physical and emotional development.
  • Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities, encouraging their participation and enthusiasm.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely completion of reports, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Serve as a key worker and role model, providing guidance and support to children and colleagues alike.
  • Maintain the physical security of the home, adhering to health and safety protocols and ensuring a safe environment for all.
  • Collaborate with professionals to support children's needs and advocate for their rights, promoting their voice and autonomy.
