Volunteer Facilitator

As a Volunteer Facilitator, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for autistic adults in our community groups. Your responsibilities will include greeting new members, assisting with group activities, and providing feedback to our staff. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of attendance and reporting any concerns to our team. We offer comprehensive training, ongoing support, and insurance coverage for all volunteers. A DBS check is required for this role, which we will cover the cost of.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for friendly and caring individuals who can offer support in a non-judgmental way. You should have an interest in supporting autistic adults and be willing to commit to our values. This role requires reliability, good listening skills, and the ability to suggest new group activities. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and encourage those with experience working with vulnerable adults to apply.
Working Conditions:
This role is based at The Arc Winchester, a venue located on the ground floor. We require volunteers to be available on Sundays between 3pm-4:30pm. While we appreciate regular commitment, we understand that it may not always be possible. Please inform us of your availability when registering your interest.
