**Nursery Chef Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursery Chef to join our team at Blom and Blom's nursery setting in Hauxton.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment, catering for large numbers, special diets, and allergies.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook nutritionally balanced meals suitable for under-fives.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the nursery team to develop menus that meet the dietary needs of the children.
  • Kitchen Operations: Ensure the kitchen is maintained in a safe, clean, and healthy manner.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen stock levels and coordinate food purchases.
  • Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A current Food Hygiene Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Sound knowledge of food allergies.
  • Experience of cooking within childcare settings.
  • Proven ability to plan and cook nutritionally balanced meals for different dietary needs.
  • Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
