Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Spare Parts and Procurement Lead to join our Engineering team in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of effective spare parts procurement strategies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective spare parts procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency
  2. Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  3. Work closely with suppliers to negotiate contracts and achieve best prices
  4. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, supplier performance, and stock movements
  5. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management and procurement
  6. Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement purchasing strategies

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings through effective procurement strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., Mainsaver/spidex)

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
