About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional procurement advice, leading the procurement process, and delivering best value and service to the member Trust/s. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and experience will make a real difference.

You will take lead responsibility for the delivery of strategic and operational procurement within centres/divisions, working closely with centre managers and deputy managers to review non-pay spend and identify cost improvement initiatives. You will also take the lead in all relevant internal and external meetings to raise the profile and improve service delivery of the procurement function.

This role requires someone who is proactive, self-motivated, and has excellent customer care skills with experience in customer service. You should have advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications, including daily use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of the NHS Model Hospital, Spend Comparison Service or other benchmarking platforms, and NHS Supply Chain would be beneficial.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £46,148 to £52,809 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career development and growth.

Requirements
  • Qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply Chain (MCIPS) or equivalent Qualifications/experience.
  • Good standard of general education, including GCSE English Maths or equivalent.
  • Training/knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft office suite of applications including daily use of Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • High level of customer care skills with experience in customer service.
