About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education - Chelmsford. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, contributing to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement individualized education plans that cater to the unique needs of students.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, adapting your approach to meet the diverse learning requirements of each student.
  • Work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system that addresses the holistic needs of students.
  • Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies that promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in supporting students with SEN, is highly advantageous.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
