About the Role

OMG HR Ltd T/As SENDirect is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities and special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Learning Support Team to develop and implement individualized learning plans for each client.
  • Provide one-on-one support to clients with disabilities and SEN, both in-person and virtually.
  • Assist in creating and adapting learning materials and resources to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Work with clients to develop their skills in various areas, including but not limited to communication, social skills, and independent living.
  • Monitor and assess client progress, and provide feedback and reports to the Learning Support Team.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers, therapists, and parents, to ensure effective support for each client.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment through effective communication and positive behavior management techniques.
  • Attend training and development sessions to continually improve your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and SEN.
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and SEN strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and communication aids is a plus.
