About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Multiple Sclerosis Community Nurse to join our Huntingdonshire Multiple Sclerosis Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with Multiple Sclerosis, working closely with the clinical lead and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a clinical caseload across Huntingdonshire, providing specialist assessments and care to patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical lead and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated service, representing the MS team at meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning.
- Provide patients and their families with information on the standards expected from the team, adhering to Trust risk assessment, risk management, and infection control policies and procedures.
- Maintain NMC registration and professional standards, seeking and using professional support appropriately.

Requirements
- Current NMC Registration.
- Documented evidence of own continuing professional development.
- Two years post registration experience in a multi-disciplinary team, with a basic theoretical and practical knowledge of MS.
- Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and persuasion in implementing change, and to work independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines.
