About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Multiple Sclerosis Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with MS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for people with MS within your caseload.
  • Conduct Annual Reviews, Holistic Reviews, and reduce the need for hospital admission under the supervision of the Lead MS Nurse Specialist.
  • Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated service, representing the MS team at meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning.
  • Follow service users and their carers from diagnosis through palliative care, working across health and social care pathways.
  • Manage clinics, waiting lists, and ensure high-standard electronic care records on SystmOne.
  • Adhere to Trust risk assessment, risk management, and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain NMC registration and professional standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent Diploma entry level qualification into the Nursing profession.
  • Current NMC Registration.
  • Documented evidence of own continuing professional development.
  • Two years post-registration experience.
  • A basic theoretical and practical knowledge of MS.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commit to the principles of clinical governance and clinical supervision.
