As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that each patient receives safe and individualized treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing and prioritizing patient needs, developing individualized care plans to meet those needs
  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient conditions
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and shift leaders about patient conditions, making clinical judgments involving complex information within your skill and knowledge limits
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, adhering to information governance requirements

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered General Nurse with evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Post-registration experience in an acute care area
  • Experience within a critical care environment (desirable)

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position starts at £26,000 per annum, with enhancements for unsociable hours. You will also receive a generous annual leave entitlement, flexible working opportunities, and access to our in-house physiotherapy service. Additionally, you will benefit from our wellbeing support program, on-site canteens offering subsidised meals, and free Stagecoach bus travel within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
