Role Overview

This Band 5 Staff Nurse position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and experience in critical care. You will work closely with our experienced team to provide individualized care to critically ill patients, and contribute to the development of our Critical Care Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing and prioritizing patient needs, developing individualized care plans to meet those needs
  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient conditions
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and shift leaders about patient conditions, making clinical judgments involving complex information within your skill and knowledge limits
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, adhering to information governance requirements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered General Nurse with evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Post-registration experience in an acute care area
  • Experience within a critical care environment (desirable)

The salary for this position starts at £26,000 per annum, with enhancements for unsociable hours.
