London, Greater London, United Kingdom The AVOCADO Foundation Full time

At The AVOCADO Foundation, we strive to address economic inequalities faced by youth, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organisations in the UK and overseas. Our mission is to create a world where no one is impoverished due to their skin colour or ethnicity.

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Management Director to lead our AVOCADO+ capacity building programmes for nonprofits. As a key member of our staff team, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and oversee Youth Programmes and International Programmes. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the success and sustainability of these programmes, ensuring sound management and administration of projects, and providing guidance and direction to the programmes team and volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience of programme management within a charity, excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You should also possess excellent stakeholder management skills, including leading multi-disciplinary teams, working with local partners, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for programme portfolio management, ensuring alignment of programmes team to organisational strategies, policies, and procedures. You will also provide substantive educational training, resources, and support designed to help individuals and organisations thrive.

As a Programme Management Director, you will play a critical role in delivering and scaling up all the programmes so as to reach many more users, supporting them to build long-term resilience, improve their life chances, and enabling under-resourced organisations to do more of the great work they do in service to underrepresented communities.

With a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, you will enjoy flexible working conditions, including remote working and a schedule that suits your lifestyle. This is a full-time, permanent position, with additional benefits including company pension, additional leave, company events, and the opportunity to work from home.
