Job Title: Behaviour Intervention Assistant

We are seeking Behavioural Support Assistants to work at primary schools throughout the region, supporting pupils displaying challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will have experience working with pupils who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who may have Special Educational Needs.

About the Role:

You will have the option to take on longer term roles in individual schools or choose day-to-day supply cover working at different schools each week. As a Behaviour Intervention Assistant, you will work with a specific child, developing an effective and supportive relationship, promoting emotional wellbeing and identifying triggers. You will provide academic support, recording progress and reporting to the teacher.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who may have Special Educational Needs.
  • Mentor and engage with the pupils, delivering specifically designed educational packages.
