Refugee Resettlement Support Specialist

Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5pm
As a Refugee Resettlement Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing advice and welfare support to individuals who have recently arrived in our community. You will also process applications for various services and functions to help them establish an independent life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting home visits to ensure the safety and suitability of sponsored housing
- Providing accurate translation services and maintaining documentation in multiple languages
- Collaborating with the Resettlement Housing team to escalate and follow up on client housing needs
- Leading activities to engage newly settled communities and contribute to their integration into local culture and life
- Actively communicating with the community to identify new clients and publicise our services
Requirements:
- Experience in delivering benefit assessments and advice to individuals in need
- Knowledge of national and local benefits and relief support systems
- Familiarity with online benefit assessment systems like Entitled To
Language Requirements:
Must speak at least Arabic, Kurdish, Pashto and Dari, other languages are also desirable
