EACH Counselling is seeking a dedicated Resettlement Support Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in empowering and supporting women who have experienced violence against women and girls (VAWG), many of whom face additional vulnerabilities due to intersecting disadvantages.

As a Resettlement Support Specialist, you will provide comprehensive and holistic support to women residing in our temporary accommodation, assisting them in their transition to stable and secure long-term housing.

Your key duties will include:

  • Building trusting relationships with women and understanding their individual needs and goals.
  • Providing ongoing advocacy and support with housing applications, tenancy management, and accessing essential services.
  • Connecting women with appropriate community resources and fostering social integration.
  • Empowering women to develop independent living skills and build resilience.
  • Collaborating with project staff and external partners to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to resettlement.

Experience working with vulnerable populations, ideally women who have experienced VAWG, is essential.

Cultural competency and the ability to build rapport with women from diverse backgrounds are also crucial.
