About the Role:

CRA GROUP LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Funding Projects Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Programme Management Service, you will play a crucial role in supporting the External Funding Team with the design, development, commissioning, and delivery of externally funded projects and programmes that drive economic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the External Funding Team in researching and investigating possible sources of funding, attending meetings with stakeholders, developing eligible projects, gathering and presenting information, and providing expert advice.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Council's External Funding Strategy by developing partnerships between various sectors to access funding for multi-agency initiatives.
  • Provide general assistance to the External Funding Team, including database development, record keeping, and monitoring and reporting on project outcomes and activity.
  • Act as an initial point of contact for the External Funding Team and Crowdfund Walsall Programme in responding to requests for information via various communication methods.
  • Support the development of high-quality bids, including drafting supporting documentation, job descriptions, tender briefs, and governance structures.
  • Liaise with project leads, partners, and stakeholders to deliver promotional opportunities to raise awareness of external funded projects.
  • Play a key role in the delivery of the Crowdfund Walsall Programme, running the match funding process, organizing and presenting at panel meetings, advising projects, conducting project visits, and supporting programme monitoring and reporting.
  • Lead on the Crowdfund Walsall Marketing Strategy to raise awareness of the programme locally through workshops, presentations, sharing best practice, and updating webpages and social networking sites.
  • Support the local Voluntary and Community Sector in identifying and tackling key issues and problems to accessing Crowdfund Walsall and other pots of funding.
  • Develop new and maintain existing good relationships with funders, businesses, stakeholders, and delivery partners to ensure the External Funding Team has a good level of intelligence on each of its projects.
  • Lead on the maintenance of project files, records, and databases in accordance with strict funder requirements.
  • Attend project working group and team meetings, drafting and presenting accurate and timely performance reports.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience and good working knowledge of the VCSE sector.
  • Successful fundraising and bid writing experience.
  • Outstanding project delivery and communication skills, including writing and presenting information for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines, with the support of a friendly team.
  • Good digital skills, including social media.
  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience within the appropriate fields.
  • A relevant funding or project qualification, e.g., IOF, AMP, PRINCE 2, or equivalent experience.
