About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated funding specialist to facilitate the execution of key initiatives, including our Crowdfund Walsall Programme.

By fostering connections with Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises (VCSEs), you will be instrumental in the strategizing, implementation, and achievement of our crowdfunding efforts.

Your responsibilities will encompass providing advisory support, crafting project proposals, conducting workshops, and managing marketing and outreach efforts, including social media engagement.

You will be tasked with cultivating and maintaining productive partnerships with a diverse array of stakeholders, ensuring collaborative efforts to optimize funding prospects.

This position will also involve identifying and pursuing external funding avenues for council services and external partners from various sources, such as central and regional government, as well as third sector and NGO funding initiatives.


The successful candidate will:
Possess substantial experience and a comprehensive understanding of the VCSE landscape.
Demonstrate a proven track record in fundraising and bid writing.
Exhibit exceptional project management and communication abilities, including the capacity to articulate information to varied audiences.
Thrive in a dynamic environment, meeting stringent deadlines with the support of a collaborative team.
Have proficient digital skills, particularly in social media.
This role is offered as an 18-month fixed term contract (maternity cover) and supports hybrid working arrangements, allowing for a predominantly remote work setup.
