Role Overview

We are excited to present an opportunity for an Administrative Support Specialist to join our Damaged Network Property (DNP) team. This role is essential in ensuring that all DNP documentation is accurate and comprehensive, facilitating the final accounting for various DNP projects. The Administrative Support Specialist will collaborate closely with multiple teams, including operations and commercial departments, to gather and verify information related to network property damage, thereby supporting cost recovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities

As an Administrative Support Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing the documentation processes related to DNP from operations and response teams.
  • Liaising with various departments to compile necessary information for DNP activities.
  • Ensuring that all documentation is organized, accurate, and ready for final accounting.
  • Assisting the DNP team with inquiries regarding documentation and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Analyzing and verifying the accuracy of DNP paperwork, including daily time costing sheets.
  • Providing timely and precise commercial reports to management regarding outstanding tasks or issues.
  • Ensuring adherence to Colas' governance, policies, and procedures.

Additionally, you will conduct all activities with a strong focus on environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate standards to minimize ecological impact.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of A-C grades in English and Maths.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, coupled with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in high-performing teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • A valid driving license is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

At Colas, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • A salary range from £23,800 to £26,000, depending on experience.
