Support Staff for Children

About the Job: We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Staff member to join our team at an independent special needs school in Lyndhurst, Hampshire. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting our teaching team and ensuring the well-being of our students.
Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general support to our teaching staff, including preparing materials, assisting with lessons, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will also work closely with our senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies to support student progress and achievement.
Requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English Level 4/Grade C or equivalent
- Prior experience working with children and young people (preferably in a special needs setting)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrate resilience, patience, and empathy when dealing with challenging situations
Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary range of £19,500 - £20,200 per annum (pro-rata for term-time only), plus opportunities for professional development and career progression within our supportive and dynamic team.
