About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Safeguarding Children's Nurse to join our team at NHS South East London Integrated Care Board. As a Designated Safeguarding Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to healthcare staff and other agencies on child protection matters.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based child protection practice throughout Lambeth and secure a proactive approach to child protection across clinical services.
  • Inform the strategic thinking of the ICS and local partners, ensuring that child protection is at the forefront of our decision-making.
  • Collaborate with health and partner agencies to improve the health outcomes of Lambeth's children and young people.
Requirements
  • Registered Health Visitor with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Named Nurse.
  • First Degree or equivalent, with a Master's Level accreditation in Safeguarding Children/Child Protection.
  • Extensive knowledge of national and local child protection policy, as well as children's rights and legislation.
  • Excellent presentation, teaching, and communication skills, with the ability to lead others and command respect.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £82,462 to £93,773 per annum, inclusive of Inner HCAS, and a range of benefits, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
