About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Safeguarding Children's Nurse to join our team at NHS South East London Integrated Care Board. As a Designated Safeguarding Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to healthcare staff and other agencies on child protection matters.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based child protection practice throughout Lambeth and beyond.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of child protection standards through Practice Based and other commissioning arrangements.
  • Collaborate with local partners to inform strategic thinking and direction of SEL ICS (Lambeth) and ensure effective child protection practices.
Requirements
  • Registered Health Visitor with a First Degree or equivalent.
  • Master's Level accreditation in Safeguarding Children/Child Protection.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Named Nurse and 5 years' experience in Health Visiting, including substantial involvement in child protection case management.
  • Excellent presentation, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead others, command respect, and implement best practice in child protection.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £82,462 to £93,773 per annum, inclusive of Inner HCAS, and a supportive work environment that values your expertise and dedication.
