Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a SEMH Specialist School in Northampton. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the emotional and behavioural needs of students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students.
- Support students in building positive relationships and coping mechanisms.
- Assist in the development of personalised support plans.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure student progress.
- A passion for working with children and young people.
- Experience in a similar role or within an educational setting (preferably SEMH or SEN).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
- Patience, resilience, and a calm approach to challenging behaviour.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A supportive and dynamic team environment.
- Ongoing professional development and training opportunities through our CPD Academy.

- Temporary to permanent contracts a possibility.
