Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef Manager to lead our food service operations at Nuffield Hospital in Taunton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 14 staff members and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service to our patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Manage all aspects of staffing and hospitality, ensuring the smooth running of patient and staff feeding, driving service excellence, and delivering quality.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with Sodexo ordering policy and complete all required paperwork, including temperature checks, electrical checks, COSHH, HACCAP, etc.
  • Training and Development: Train all members of the team and ensure that the kitchen and food service areas are kept clean and well-maintained.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all areas of the kitchen and food service areas are kept clean and well maintained. Report any defaults to client and helpdesk and ensure completion of outstanding issues.
  • Audits and Compliance: Pass all internal and external audits such as safeguard, EHO, and Nuffield audits.
  • Team Performance: Manage the team to achieve desired results, driving forward service excellence and delivering quality.
Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive experience of managing a team in a similar setting.
  • Organizational Skills: A highly organized approach to work with the ability to forward plan.
  • Results-Oriented: A proven track record of delivering results and managing client relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: A Food Safety Level 3 certificate preferred. City and Guilds 7061/7062 or equivalent cooking qualification.
