Senior Bid Manager - Infrastructure Sector

We are excited to announce a superb opportunity to join Cumming Group UK & Europe, in the role of Senior Bid Manager - Infrastructure Sector in our Cardiff Office, focused on bids and new business pursuits.

As part of the wider marketing team, you will also be asked to support relevant events, brand asset updates, and internal communications as required. This role will be based in our Cardiff office with regular trips to other UK locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create engaging content for tender/bid submissions, working collaboratively with marketing, operations, and consultants to lead the proposal process.
  2. Prepare customised collateral and statements of qualifications (SOQs) as required throughout the sales process for each opportunity.
  3. Participate in regular meetings and play an active role in the development of plans to win major new client or project pursuits.
  4. Proposal development, interview coaching and preparation support, information collection and organization, and consultant team support.
  5. Help ensure bid activity is tracked in CRM or shared tracking system.
  6. Support the collection and input of project, team member, and boilerplate proposal information into the company's various databases.
  7. Ensure Quality Assurance of information and material used in proposals or SOQs.
  8. Apply excellent time management and prioritisation with multiple tasks.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in writing and editing proposal content and tender submissions is essential.
  2. Experience within a professional services environment is desirable, ideally Quantity Surveying and/or Project Management consultancy services.
  3. Multiple project management of bids in parallel with the ability to prioritise and delegate.
  4. Experience working with and creating performance dashboards.
  5. Broad IT skills with an eye for design and an impactful presentation, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Indesign, and Photoshop.
  6. Excellent written English is essential, with the ability to summarise and explain longer technical proposals.
  7. Marketing experience and understanding an advantage, including campaign strategy and event management.
