Educational Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English and Maths tutor to provide temporary part-time support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Key Stage 3. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and methodologies.
About the role:
- Deliver high-quality English and Maths tutoring to students with SEN, creating individualised lesson plans to cater to their specific learning requirements.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly, providing regular feedback to students and their parents/guardians on academic performance.
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning.
- Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with specialist knowledge in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Use assistive technology in the classroom to support student learning.
- Work part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling, primarily working in an educational setting (local library, school or learner's home).
- Potential for remote tutoring sessions.
Salary: £20-£30 per hour.
