Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator

About the Role:

A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum is on offer for this exciting opportunity to work as a skilled professional in a dynamic team. As a meticulous and dependable Payroll Officer/Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing payroll and bookkeeping tasks for various clients while ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process payroll: Timely and accurate execution in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  2. Data entry tasks: Set up new hires, terminations, and updates to employee details.
  3. Analyse payroll data: Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly in collaboration with authorities.
  4. Conduct bookkeeping tasks: Accurate and timely recording of financial data in accounting software.
  5. Support management reports: Assist accountants with regular reconciliations.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
  2. Accounting skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  3. Accuracy: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
  4. Bookkeeping knowledge: Strong understanding of bookkeeping, double-entry accounting, and their impact on financial statements.
