This role offers a comprehensive training program to equip you with the necessary skills to support children with Autism. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced staff to develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of ILPs and EHCPs
- Support classroom activities and interventions based on evidence-based practices
- Establish supportive relationships with children, serving as a role model
- Adapt learning resources and strategies to ensure access to the full curriculum
- Motivate and challenge pupils, promoting self-esteem
- Attend to personal, social, health, and hygiene needs of pupils
- Collaborate with parents and teachers to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Record and monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback
Requirements:
- GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) English (Grade 4) essential
- GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) Maths (Grade 4) essential
