**About the Role**

Martin Luther King (MLK) Search is excited to be supporting an 'Outstanding' Independent Special School in west London in their search for a confident, creative, and passionate Assistant Headteacher. This senior leadership position will focus on leading Curriculum and Wellbeing across the Primary and Secondary provisions.

The school provides an inclusive co-educational provision for children with Autism, aged 5-16 years, split across two sites in West London. The student-centred approach prioritises professional development and wellbeing of staff. With a Senior Leadership Team that embodies the core values, this is a unique opportunity to join an organisation that truly makes a difference.

This role will work underpinned by ABA methodology, continuously developing its offering to provide outstanding education and outcomes for students and staff. Each pupil receives an individually devised programme based on a multi-professional approach to learning, aimed at increasing communication and independence.

We are seeking a curriculum and wellbeing specialist teacher/middle leader with experience in SEN education, preferably for children and young people with Autism. Collaborating with an exceptional CEO and Headteacher, you will restructure and embed an exciting new curriculum and wellbeing offering.

Key Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification and experience of curriculum design and development.
  • Successful teaching and/or leadership experience within a similar setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and relevant accreditations related to SEN/Autism.
  • Demonstrable experience and/or qualifications related to Mental Health/Wellbeing in schools.
  • Additional qualifications related to SEN and/or school leadership would be highly desirable.
