Supporting Children with Special Needs

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to join our team in Hounslow. The role involves supporting a child within the school's SEN unit on a 1:1 basis, aiding their development and learning throughout the academic year.

We are seeking someone who has experience working in education and a vast amount of experience supporting children and young people with special needs within the classroom.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Providing support to children with Autism/ASC, complex needs, and Severe to Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD).
  2. Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children's achievement and progress.
  3. Fostering a supportive environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils.
  4. Engaging children through play-based and sensory-related activities.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in education.
  • Vast experience supporting children and young people with special needs within the classroom.
  • Relevant qualifications and training.
Compensation Package:
  • $45,000 - $55,000 per annum.
  • Additional statutory holiday pay.
Important Note:

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent at a later date.
