Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide clinical advice and support for ward referrals, working closely with specialist nurses, an advanced rheumatology practitioner, physiotherapy, OT, and Podiatry teams.

As a Rheumatology Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, developing and expanding the service, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

The post holder will also have opportunities for research and teaching, both undergraduate and post-graduate levels, and will be expected to contribute to the development of the department.

Key Requirements

  • MB.CHB or equivalent
  • Specialist registration with the General Medical Council and licensed to practice
  • Completion of basic training Medicine
  • Completion of higher training (CCT or within 6 months of obtaining CCT in Rheumatology at time of interview

Desirable Criteria

  • Post graduate qualification (PHD or MD) equivalent
  • Experience of Audits
  • Publications in recognised Medical and Rheumatology journals
