Opportunity for a Rheumatology Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rheumatology Consultant to join our dynamic team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a skilled professional to further develop and expand our rheumatology service, delivering patient-centered care to the highest standard.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical advice and support for ward referrals
  • Lead and develop the rheumatology service, ensuring continuity of high-quality care
  • Collaborate with specialist nurses, advanced rheumatology practitioners, physiotherapy, OT, and Podiatry teams
  • Contribute to research and teaching opportunities, both undergraduate and postgraduate
About the Role

This is an 8PA post, with 4 Rheumatology clinics per week in an outpatient setting. The successful candidate will be joining an enthusiastic and friendly local department, with access to 20 beds on the Programmed Investigation Unit for the delivery of intravenous therapies. We work closely with high-quality, supportive primary care colleagues and GPs who are training to develop a specialist interest in rheumatology.

Requirements
  • MB.CHB or equivalent
  • Specialist registration with the General Medical Council and licensed to practice
  • Completion of basic training Medicine and higher training (CCT or within 6 months of obtaining CCT in Rheumatology at time of interview)
