As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex needs in their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the classroom, helping students with complex needs to access the curriculum.
- Provide personal care to students, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Support students individually or in small groups to achieve their specific learning objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive tailored support.
- Monitor and document student progress to inform future planning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with complex needs is essential.
- Relevant qualifications in education, healthcare, childcare, or special educational needs are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in providing personal care.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Salary and Benefits:
The daily rate for this position is £90+ per day, depending on previous experience and qualifications. You will also receive PAYE paid weekly, flexible working arrangements, and FREE access to our SEND Toolkit skills development package.
