About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Access Control Electrical Engineer to join our team at Addition+. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and providing technical support to a small team of Electricians, leading and attending meetings with Suppliers, Clients, and Internal Customers, and liaising with Suppliers to ensure availability of materials required for all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Supervise and provide technical support to a small team of Electricians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Project Management: Lead and attend meetings with Suppliers, Clients, and Internal Customers to ensure successful project delivery, on time and within budget.
  • Supply Chain Management: Liaise with Suppliers to ensure availability of materials required for all projects, maintaining strong relationships and negotiating competitive prices.
  • Workload Management: Organize workload effectively, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on automatic gates, identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate them.
  • General Administration: Maintain accurate records, including RAMS, technical files, and quotations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Business Development: Contribute to the development of new areas of the business, specifically Access Control, identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to drive growth.
  • Installation and Fault Finding: Carry out installations and fault finding on gate and access control systems, ensuring they are installed and functioning correctly.
Requirements
  • Project Development and Management: Proven experience in project development and management, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Team Management: Experience in managing and supervising a team, with a focus on developing and motivating team members.
  • Access Control and Automatic Gates: Good knowledge of Access Control and Automatic Gates, including safety relays and programmable safety controllers.
  • Control Elements in Automation: Experience in specifying control elements in automation, with a focus on ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Customer Growth: Ability to grow customer base within Access Control and Automatic Gates, identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to drive growth.
  • Communication and IT Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Good IT skills, including experience with Word and Excel packages.

  • Taking reasonable care of themselves and other people who may be affected by their actions whilst at work.
