About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Access Control Electrical Engineer to join our team at Addition+. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and providing technical support to a small team of Electricians, leading and attending meetings with Suppliers, Clients, and Internal Customers, and liaising with Suppliers to ensure availability of materials required for all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Supervise and provide technical support to a small team of Electricians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Project Management: Lead and attend meetings with Suppliers, Clients, and Internal Customers to ensure successful project delivery and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Supply Chain Management: Liaise with Suppliers to ensure availability of materials required for all projects, negotiate prices, and manage inventory levels.
  • Workload Management: Organize workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on automatic gates to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • General Administration: Manage general administration tasks, including RAMS, technical files, and quotations.
  • Business Development: Help develop new areas of the business, specifically Access Control, and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Installation and Fault Finding: Carry out installations where required and fault find on gate and access control systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Project Development and Management: Proven experience in project development and management, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Management: Experience in managing and supervising a team, with a focus on developing and motivating team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Access Control and Automatic Gates: Good knowledge of Access Control and Automatic Gates, including safety relays and programmable safety controllers.
  • Control Elements in Automation: Experience in specifying control elements in automation, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Customer Growth: Ability to grow customer base within Access Control and Automatic Gates, identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to expand the business.
  • Communication and IT Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with Suppliers, Clients, and Internal Customers. Good IT skills, including experience with Word and Excel packages.

  • Reporting without delay any injury suffered as the result of any incident during the course of their work to their immediate supervisor or First Aider as appropriate.
  • Ensuring that good housekeeping is always maintained at their workstation and surrounding area.
  • Taking reasonable care of themselves and other people who may be affected by their actions whilst at work.
