**Key Responsibilities**

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing highways consents in accordance with the Route-wide Traffic Management Plan.

Liaising between the project, HS2 Ltd, and relevant stakeholders will be a key aspect of this role, as well as developing productive relationships which deliver benefits for all parties.

The Highway Consents Manager will be part of the Traffic and Highways team within the contract-wide Consents & Engagement function, led by the Traffic & Highways Team Leader.

On a day-to-day basis, you will report to the Stakeholder & Consents Area Manager for their area, working as part of a multi-disciplinary Consents & Engagement service team to ensure the needs of both the integrated project delivery team and the client are met.

**Key Requirements**

  • Flexible working in accordance with the HS2 Route-wide Traffic Management Plan.
  • Advising the project delivery team on highway consenting manners.
  • Working closely with the Area Traffic Management Manager to ensure the delivery teams' requirements are consented within a timely manner.
  • Coordinating, preparing, and submitting highways consents and other highway-related applications.
  • Maintaining and updating highways reports within the delivery area in accordance with the HS2 Route-wide Traffic Management Plan.
  • Understanding the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes, and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations.
  • Able to work on the HS2 project, which is the UK's new high-speed rail network.
