Job Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) to appoint an Associate Dean for Engagement, a senior leadership role that requires existing members of academic staff within the Faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic leadership for the Faculty in all aspects of Engagement.
  • Lead on strategic projects, management of Engagement processes and committees, and promotion of a culture of engagement.
  • Represent the Faculty within and beyond the University.
  • Work closely with the Dean as a member of the Deans Group and the Policy and Resources Committee (PRC).

Benefits:

  • A non-superannuable salary supplement equivalent in value to one (for a Professor) or two (for a Senior Lecturer) increment(s) on their salary scale.
  • An Associate Dean allowance to support research, knowledge transfer, scholarly activity, or educational enhancement.
  • Eligibility for an additional term of Academic Research & Education Leave (AREL) at the end of their period of office.
