About the Role

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is seeking a Business Technology Partner to deliver strategic IT services for an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend. This role will involve a hybrid of home and office working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Business Technology function for the organisation, providing strategic input and project management for innovation and technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine suitable options for ICT innovation projects and identify opportunities to deliver technical efficiencies.
  • Production of Strategic Business Cases and management of all requests to SIIT for technical projects, including system upgrades, patching, development requests, and monitoring project spend.
  • Represent the organisation on matters of Corporate ICT and data governance, including information security, risk management, and audit.
  • Provide executive ICT reports as required and advise Senior Managers on technical contractual obligations and opportunities for delivering efficiencies using technology.
  • Manage ICT training plan for the organisation's staff, which is mapped to corporate initiatives.
  • Oversee technical procedures to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and organisational policies.

  • Experience of technical business management and service delivery.
  • Strategic approach and vision to deliver service improvements.
  • Knowledge of government agencies and other relevant partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Able to design and implement future development of services.
  • Encouraging Services to work effectively together and to find new ways of delivering and developing services.
  • Demonstrates commitment to Continuous Professional Development.

Desirable Skills:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in special initiatives in support of service improvement.
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of the organisation's political and decision-making structures.
