Senior Practitioner for Children's Homes

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner for Children's Homes to join our team at Clarify Consultancy Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional care services that promote the well-being and development of children and young people.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the home, including supervising staff and implementing care strategies in line with legislation and organisational policies.
- Develop and maintain a service that meets the National Quality Care Standards and Regulations for Children's Homes, promoting outstanding results for children and young people.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating environment that fosters the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth of children, acting as a positive adult role model.
- Work closely with families and other professionals to address health, medical, and educational needs of the children.
- Recognize and respect the identity, culture, ethnicity, sexuality, and linguistic diversity of children and adults, offering alternative communication methods where necessary.
- Act promptly on feedback from regulatory bodies to address concerns and recommendations arising from inspections, audits, complaints, and investigations.
- Take ownership of your professional development, participating in supervision, performance reviews, development opportunities, and training events as agreed.
- Identify and respond to the diverse needs of children and adults within the care setting.
- Educate yourself on and adhere to relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and policies of Lancashire's Safeguarding Children's Board.
- Build strong relationships and manage challenging behavior in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Provide personal care and perform moving and handling tasks as required.
What We Offer
This is an excellent opportunity for a career-driven individual to develop a rewarding profession in a dynamic organisation that prioritises creating a family-friendly work environment. The salary range is £36,000 - £40,000 per annum. The shift pattern consists of 10 x 24-hour shifts (includes sleep-in) per month on a rolling rota basis, with two shifts one week and three shifts the next week. During the initial training period until early 2025, you will work Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, and receive holidays during Christmas and New Year.
